I am a Cornish photographer, deeply inspired by the natural beauty and rich history of Cornwall—a place I am fortunate to call home.

The Cornish coast is a constantly changing canvas, offering endless opportunities to capture its breath-taking essence. The interplay of light, tides, and weather creates dynamic environments that inspire creativity and allow for truly unique photography.

Some of my favourite coastal locations include Land’s End, the most westerly point of mainland England. With its dramatic cliffs, rugged rock formations, and endless ocean views, it is a landscape photographer's dream. Iconic landmarks such as the Longships Lighthouse and the striking Enys Dodnan Arch add further allure to this awe-inspiring location.

Equally captivating is Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula. Known for its stunning contrasts of white sands, turquoise waters, and serpentine rock formations, it reveals even more of its beauty at low tide, uncovering hidden caves and secluded beaches.

The Bedruthan Steps, on the north coast near Newquay, is another favourite. Characterized by towering sea stacks and dramatic cliffs, the views from the cliff-top paths are particularly spectacular at sunrise or sunset, offering unparalleled opportunities for capturing dramatic light and shadow.

Cornwall’s inland treasures are just as compelling for photography. The Cheesewring, a striking rock formation on Bodmin Moor, creates dramatic silhouettes against the sky. Nearby, the village of Minions is steeped in mystery, with its ancient stone circles, such as The Hurlers, and remnants of its mining heritage.

Set along the River Fowey, Golitha Falls enchants with its cascading waters flowing through a shaded woodland. The interplay of light, water, and mossy textures makes it ideal for experimenting with long-exposure photography.

The Luxulyan Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a hidden gem for capturing Cornwall's industrial history. Its viaducts, aqueducts, and remnants of the mining past are beautifully nestled within lush woodlands, offering a harmonious blend of nature and history.

Cornwall’s diverse landscapes, from rugged coasts to serene woodlands, continue to inspire my photography. Each location tells its own story, and my goal is to share the beauty, mood, and character of these remarkable places through my lens. I hope my work invites you to see Cornwall in all its magic and wonder, and perhaps inspires you to explore these special locations yourself.
